Sometimes life can be stressful. Whether it’s your work, home life, a recent death… we all have moments when we feel down in the dumps. Sometimes it can even appear hard to see a way out!
At times like this, it’s important to remind ourselves what life is all about. This morning I popped out to buy a birthday card for a friend, and my eye was caught by a little saying on the back:
“Life should not be about the journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, totally work out and screaming wahooo, what a ride! I want to go round again!”
It reminded me that yes, life is a journey. And what a journey it is! We all have ups and downs, and we can aim to have more ups than downs. Let’s enjoy our time on this planet. When the stresses pile up, remember how great life is, and think of happy moments. What are you looking forward to in the next day, week, or year?
Remember. If in doubt, fill up that glass, peel back the foil, and shout “wahoooo”!
If that doesn’t work then talking to a coach who is independent; who is skilled in enabling you to overcome blocks and barriers so you are able to move on in your life without the stress and other emotions dragging you down; who will explore with you alternative options and enable you to have fresh perspectives; who will encourage you to take action and get results….that may be the answer.
